Plant Needs Activities: Needs of a Plant to Grow Book and Worksheets

Friday, March 9, 2012

Sun, water, air, soil and space: once your students know what a plant needs, they can take care of one. This little book helps them learn and track it.

These plant needs activities help kindergarten and first grade students learn the 5 things every plant needs: sun, water, air, soil, and space. Students make their own My Plant Book with simple sight word sentences and use it to track a class plant or their own plant as it grows. Then check what they learned with a cut and paste labeling page, a write and draw page, and 2 flipbooks.
