Butterfly Life Cycle Stages: Journey of a Caterpillar Activities

Tuesday, April 2, 2013

If you have ever had a caterpillar kit in your room, you know how excited little ones get. These activities help them name and write about every stage.

These butterfly life cycle activities take your pre-K, kindergarten, and first grade students from egg to larva to chrysalis to butterfly. Hang the 2 page poster, practice the words with vocabulary cards, read the mini book together, and then let students write their own book. They are a perfect match for a classroom caterpillar kit, a science center, or a spring unit.
