If you're anything like me, you want number practice that keeps little hands busy and does not take your whole planning period to prep. This is the freebie teachers download from my store more than any other, and it is yours to grab today.
What is in this free number writing practice?
Each page takes 1 number from 0 to 20 and has students:
- Trace it with a pencil to build correct formation
- Stamp it with number stamps or a bingo dauber
- Write it on their own
- Cut and paste the matching number pieces
That is pencil skills, scissor skills and number recognition on 1 page. It lines up with K.CC.A.3, writing numbers from 0 to 20.

4 easy ways to use it in your classroom
- Morning work. One number a day as students walk in. A teacher shared: "This was perfect for morning work/review as students came into school."
- Math centers. Put out stamps and a basket of pages. Another teacher said: "Students enjoy stamping the numbers."
- Beginning of year check. Give a few pages in the first weeks to see who can form which numbers.
- Laminate and reuse. I laminated mine and put velcro dots on the cut pieces for my word work area, so they last all year.
